We have already told you about the 10 Highest Paid Actresses in Hollywood, so we have decided to make an article about the highest-paid actors in Hollywood. These are the men who make all of us scream with delight every time they appear on screen or every time they release their newest film or album. You know them as well as we do, so let’s dive right into the list! The only requirement was that they had to be over 40 years old, so without further ado here are our top 10 highest paid actors in Hollywood!
2) Robert Downey Jr. - $80 million
Robert Downey Jr. is the highest paid actor, earning $80 million from June 1, 2017 to June 1, 2018. This was a jump from his earnings of $64 million during the previous year. The bulk of this money came from his Marvel films as Iron Man and Tony Stark. He also had a huge payday when he sold back his share of Avenue Pictures which he co-founded with Jeff Robinov.
Robert De Niro - $76 million: Forbes reported that De Niro earned more than any other actor on our list outside of Downey. He earned $76 million from June 1, 2017 to June 1, 2018, primarily through various endorsements deals. Dwayne Johnson - $65 million: Coming in at number three on our list is Dwayne Johnson. His income has been steadily increasing over the years and it looks like it will continue to do so if his recent movie Skyscraper does well at the box office. If not, we might see him lower down our list next year.
3) Jackie Chan - $49 million
Jackie Chan is the world's highest-grossing actor, and he also ranks at number two on Forbes' list of most bankable stars. The Rush Hour star, who has had a long and illustrious career spanning over three decades, earned $49 million in the past year alone. A majority of his earnings come from his role in Chinese Zodiac, as well as from being a global ambassador for Mercedes-Benz.
Meryl Streep - $22 million: Meryl Streep was one of the five actors to earn more than $20 million last year according to Forbes (they don't mention which ones). It doesn't come as much of a surprise that she would make this list since she has been nominated for an Academy Award 18 times and won three Oscars.
4) Tom Cruise - $43 million
Tom Cruise had a busy year, appearing in three movies (Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation, Edge of Tomorrow and Jack Reacher: Never Go Back) as well as producing and starring on the TV series Years of Living Dangerously. In addition to his acting work, Cruise is also a full-time pilot with his own company. Meryl Streep - $19 million: Meryl Streep has been working consistently since she made her debut in The Deer Hunter 40 years ago. Her most recent film was Ricki and the Flash, which co-starred her daughter Mamie Gummer.
Robert Downey Jr - $16 million: Robert Downey Jr starred in five films this year including Avengers: Age of Ultron, The Judge and Chef that were released throughout the course of 2015.

Jennifer Lawrence is the top-earning actress of 2017, raking in $24 million. She has starred in films such as Passengers and Mother! and even earned a salary of $15 million for her role as Mystique in the latest installment of the X-Men franchise. According to Forbes, she was ranked fourth on its list of highest-paid actresses in 2016 with earnings of $46 million. Her income this year includes an upfront fee from Red Sparrow worth more than $20 million.
Jennifer Aniston - $21 million: Coming in at number two on the list is Aniston, who had an impressive payday thanks largely to her endorsement deals with Emirates Airlines and Aveeno Active Naturals.

A recent Forbes list of the highest-paid actors has Bradley Cooper ranked at number one with a total $22 million.
He's best known for his roles in Silver Linings Playbook, American Hustle, and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. Robert Downey Jr. - $8 million: The second-highest paid actor is Robert Downey Jr., who banked $8 million last year thanks to Avengers: Age of Ultron, Iron Man 3, and Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows. The third-highest earner on the list is Dwayne The Rock Johnson, who earned an estimated $16 million from projects like Central Intelligence, Fast 8 and Moana. There were four newcomers on this year's list including Vin Diesel ($10.5 million), Tom Cruise ($10M), Ryan Reynolds ($9.5M) and Mark Wahlberg ($9M).

The majority of Sandler's income came from two projects: Netflix's The Do Over which earned him a reported $25 million and Sony Pictures' animated movie Hotel Transylvania 2 which earned him a reported $6.5 million, but also included a generous back end deal that will pay him 8% of the profits made off the film for years to come.

Vin Diesel has been a top-earning actor for the past decade and continues to rake in millions. He is best known for his role as Dominic Toretto in The Fast and the Furious franchise, which has earned him $29 million so far this year. Hugh Jackman - $26.5 million: Hugh Jackman got his start on Broadway before moving into film acting. In 2013 he made the list of Forbes highest paid actors with an estimated earnings of 26.5 million dollars.

Mark Wahlberg is the top-earning actor for the year, taking home a whopping $27.5 million. This number was accumulated from his films Deepwater Horizon and Patriots Day, as well as endorsement deals with companies like Calvin Klein and Duracell. He has also served as executive producer on some of his films which have led to bigger paychecks.
10) Chris Hemsworth - $25.5 million
Chris Hemsworth is an Australian actor who has become one of the highest paid actors in the world. He has starred as Thor, a superhero from Norse mythology, and he is also known for playing Kim Hyde from the Australian soap opera Home and Away. His net worth is around $25 million dollars.
